Book Oddments…
Oddments Theatre tours its productions across the UK, taking them into churches, schools and prisons.
All our shows are self-contained, meaning we bring everything from stage set to lights and sound equipment. We also provide advertising for church events. We love to work with organisers to make your event a success. Click here for frequently asked questions about bookings.
The following is a list of our productions – click on the images to find out more about each show, including costs. Some of our productions have different length adaptations for schools and prisons. Please note that our prison work is free due to the generous giving of our supporters!

The Hiding Place is the story of Corrie Ten Boom, a Christian woman who lived in Haarlem, Holland during World War II, and her family. Corrie saw the horrific threat the Nazis posed to the Jewish people and decided that she couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. With the help of an Underground regime, her family’s faith and a man called Fred, Corrie was able to create a safe place for Jewish people to hide in her families home. But what could the Ten Booms do when they were arrested?

This production tells the world-changing story of Jesus Christ, focusing on the events from Palm Sunday through to Pentecost.
Set in the modern day, the play provides a creative and fresh perspective, taking the audience on a journey through laughter, tears and wonder. Constantly intertwined with Scripture, it tells the revelational story of Jesus, man of the people. The play has been described as “honest, powerful, moving and witty.”
Note: This production was previously called ‘The Road to the Cross’.

Our new play, written especially for prison ministry, is inspired by the true story of an inmate, who lost their way and got pulled into a world of crime. Their struggles and shattered dreams are met with a discovery of hope when they attend the prison chaplaincy.

This is a remarkable story of a girl’s childhood faith sustaining her despite being wrongly kept in a mental institution for over 16 years. Littered with light-hearted moments, the play concludes with Joyce’s release and chance at a new life.

FAQs
How do I book?
Please contact the office on bookings@oddments-theatre.co.uk or 01935 471547 to make a booking.
Will you plug into our sound system?
We bring our own sound equipment, including speakers. For some venues, we have plugged into their system due to the room having particularly difficult accoustics, but this is not always possible and our default is to use our own equipment.
How much does the show cost?
Please look at the individual show pages to see the costs of the shows. Please note that prices may vary from year to year. Our prison work is free due to the generosity of our supporters – we just have to build it in to a tour and organise accomodation if it is too far for a day-trip.
When can I book the shows for?
We often do shows in tours, meaning we have specific tour periods for a show. These will be shown on the production’s page on our website. If there is no tour period mentioned, we may not have set when we will next be touring that show. Please do get in touch for more info, or if you are wanting to book a show at a specific time, and we will let you know if it is possible.
What do you ask from the church/organiser?
For church events, we will provide you with an advertising pack, and ask you to advertise the show to the best of your ability.
For all events, we may ask you to provide the team with a hot meal during the day, probably at the venue, as we may not have time to find our own food inbetween set-ups and pack-downs.
When we are on tour, we may ask churches to organise accomodation for us, as we may not be able to travel back to Yeovil in-between shows. We often stay in ‘host houses’ with families from the church. We ask that breakfast is also provided, and sometimes a sandwich for the road. As a charity, we rely on this hospitality to make our tours possible across the UK.
For church events, you may also want to think about volunteers to: serve refreshments, sell tickets, help us unload (if possible, it is always appreciated) and put out chairs.
What are your venue requirements?
Dimensions needed depends on the show, please enquire for more details. Sending us pictures of the venue is always helpful.
We will need to park our van and trailer close to the building for unloading.
We can generally work around stairs if you have a lift.
How far do you tour?
We tour across the UK. We are based in Yeovil (Somerset), so generally organise tours so that we can do a run of events in/towards one area of the country at a time and therefore reduce travel.
